What if people believe in you?

What if people believe in you…
The amazing journey this can lead to…

What if
Lotta Hilmersson and Lars Lindmark didn’t want to recruit a 26-year-old me, in the mid-90s, as a salesperson in data communications (an area I didn’t know a thing about)

Anders Berghagen in the late 90s didn’t tell his friend at Ericsson about me when that friend needed to recruit a new employee.

Dag Gårdheim didn’t take me by the arm at the end of the millennia to go to an audition for a global roadshow, and James Cumberland assessed and approved me to travel around the world as the host of this roadshow.

Micke Darmell didn’t tell me to join Talarföreningen NSA Sweden, which was just starting up in Sweden 10 years ago as part of a global network where I met fantastic people who also inspired me to take the next step.

Mia Liljeberg didn’t help me get on the TEDx stage in 2017, a talk that has been shown at universities in the USA, Taiwan, India, etc.

The list can go on…

Would I be a global keynote speaker who has the honor and joy of inspiring and helping people in companies and organizations worldwide? Would I celebrate 20 years since I registered my company?

I don’t think so.

My dreams were no bigger than getting a job, playing some football, and hanging out with my friends in Gothenburg, Sweden, where I was raised by two working-class immigrants, and living in a neighborhood where people didn’t pursue any higher education or careers.

So this is my tribute to YOU I just mentioned (and yes, way more people than that). You who believed in me, and helped me to dream bigger. The gratitude I feel!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

PS. Who do you have to thank for believing in you?

When people believe in you, it can open doors to endless opportunities. Trust is a cornerstone of success, influencing how others perceive your abilities and intentions. If people trust your skills, they are more likely to support you, recommend you, or collaborate with you.

Building Trust Through Consistency

One of the most effective ways to earn belief is through consistency. By delivering results repeatedly, you demonstrate reliability. People trust those who continuously meet or exceed expectations. Set realistic goals, and be accountable for achieving them.

Clear communication fosters understanding and builds trust. When people know your vision and see that you follow through on your promises, they are more inclined to believe in your capabilities. Being transparent and open about your intentions further strengthens trust.
